Every creative person knows the feeling: the work piles up, the walls close in, and somewhere between the deadlines and the screen time, reality starts to slip.

Burnout follows a man so overwhelmed by work that he begins to hallucinate inside his own home — a premise that gave us license to build a visual world that lives somewhere between a fever dream and a music video. The film was commissioned by the band Mushgroom as the centerpiece of their EP launch campaign, with the narrative structured around the tracks themselves.

This was a full-scale production: original screenplay, dedicated director of photography, art direction, costume design, makeup, a cast of dancers and actors, and a complete post-production pipeline. It's the kind of project that exists because someone decided the music deserved more than a lyric video.

Burnout is the most direct demonstration of what Bacamarte looks like when the brief is simply: make something worth watching.
