In the age of sail, firearms were useless at sea. The rolling of the waves made loading impossible. Powder, ball, ram, aim, fire: a sequence that demanded stillness no ship could offer.

Instead of reinventing the gun, a blacksmith solved this problem by simply widening its mouth: a simple funnel attached to the barrel. No new technology. No additional cost. Just a clearer understanding of the real problem.

That weapon became known, in Brazil, as the bacamarte.

We named our agency after it because we believe the most powerful creative solutions aren't the most expensive ones. They're the most precise. The ones that come from a deep understanding of who you are, who you're talking to, and what actually needs to happen between the two.

My name is Felipe Escosteguy.

I’m a designer, videomaker, storyteller, and the founder of Bacamarte.

I've spent 27 years inside creative and marketing operations: as a junior designer, a creative director, a freelancer, an agency account manager, and eventually Head of Marketing at a multinational operating across the Americas.

I've seen what works, what breaks, and I've seen the exact moment when a business stops serving its clients and starts serving its own growth targets instead.

Bacamarte is my answer to that.
